I’m Chloe, the TICE mentor for Film/TV/Animation, new to the team in 2016. I’m a specialist in stop motion techniques and After Effects animation.

I have worked as a freelance animator in the region since graduating from UCA Farnham in Surrey in 2010. My first commission was straight out of university creating a music video for Denver band DeVotchKa. Since then I’ve worked on a wide variety of projects – from corporate films to educational content and idents. I’ve undertaken briefs from both individual clients and from creative agencies/studios. My clients have included The Labour Party, London-based theatre group Fourth Monkey, and CUMI – creating animation for Channel 4 documentaries.

I really enjoy sharing my experiences and skills with young people, I’m an associate lecturer in Animation at Northumbria University and am looking forward to working with TICE.

There is a natural gap between the skills you learn on creative courses and the ones required in the workplace or as part of running your own business. I’m pleased to be part of a program that aims to bridge that gap and give people interested in a career in film, TV and animation a taster of what it is like working in the industry.
