You must have noticed!! Yes… we’ve been rebranded and our new identity has been launched! However, this was not just a normal rebrand but a competition set within the graphics team gold stage. Danny Blythe a student from Burnside Business & Enterprise College was the winner of our TICE competition … find out more about how it was all set.
Every brand needs an update at some point and our time had come. This is the project we set the Graphics students:
Project two: You are required to re-design the ‘This is Creative Enterprise’ programme logo. The existing logo is 3 years old and feel it is time to move forward and bring the existing logo up to date. You are also required to
re-design the existing marketing materials including: newsletters, business cards, press ads etc. All marketing materials will feature the ‘NEW and IMPROVED’ logo and maintain a consistent look and feel across all designs.
Project Sponsors and Special Thanks to:
Mark Pattinson who is the mentor for the Graphics Team said about the project:
“As part of the Graphics Gold stage workshops, we decided to run a competition project which was to rebrand and develop a new logo for TICE. We knew that the new logo would have to reflect and represent many areas of the programme as it develops and evolves in the coming years, so it wasn’t just about creating a logo that looked good, it had to anchor an idea behind it with a specific meaning.
The new chosen TICE logo did just that, it not only looked fresh and contemporary, but it had specific meanings behind the style and colours.
The first thing that stood out with this logo, was the fact that the student had used the word TICE supported by the descriptor. Over the past few years, the word TICE was being used a lot and it was apparent that this is how students and adults related to our programme. This can now be used across many platforms and touch points, i.e. website, promotional material, t-shirts, banners and more.”
From the whole TICE team we would like to thank all of the branding students for all their hard work and a massive congratulations to our winner Danny Blythe!
