Fashion Trend and Design Project #TICEgoldstage

TICE Fashion Gold Stage 2014

This is one of three projects offered to the Fashion Gold Stage students of 2014.  Twelve students from Burnside Business & Enterprise College and St Thomas More Catholic School produced work for Visage a leading supplier of denim to NEXT, Primark, M&S, Debenhams and New Look. The students from Year 10 were to design a collection based on trends for Spring/Summer 2015 mentored by Lottie Maddison and Jenny Barrett. They had three days to complete the work check out how it went…

Our Gold Stage Fashion Trend & Design Students are Amirul Alam, Ellie Mason, Chloe Robson, Hollie Southern, Victoria Wade, Erin Lauder, Bethany Roxburgh, Rebecca Horsley, Roisin Loughrey, Ellen Braun, Sarah Stephenson, Emily Thompson.

For this project, the students were asked to design a 10 piece collection based on a theme of their choice but influenced by forecasted trends for spring/summer 2015 by WGSN. Students created Pinterest boards to research for moodboards and spent time doing a shop report to look at the current ranges of their chosen brand.

The fashion students, need to think about their customer and who they were designing for before creating 20 designs which could be narrowed down to the 10 piece collection that went forward. After designing was completed the students got a crash course on using Adobe Photoshop to manipulate their drawings and compile a strong moodboard to portray their chosen theme.

Check out their work and also the feedback from industry professionals!
